Roshni is a poet based in Edinburgh. She was a winner of the 2022 Edwin Morgan Poetry Award and Scottish Book Trust New Writers Award.
Her debut collection Even the Trees won the James Berry Poetry Prize 2024 and is published by Bloodaxe Books. It is shortlisted for the Jerwood Prize for Best First Collection 2026.

Roshni is also an experienced performer, facilitator, and host. She has facilitated writing workshops in schools, libraries, and arts venues and has worked for organisations such as The Scottish Book Trust, Edinburgh Libraries, Glasgow Women’s Library, and Aberdeen Performing Arts. Her workshops are tailored towards adults and young people.
She has performed her work widely across the UK and has been featured at festivals such as Edinburgh International Book Festival, Ledbury Poetry Festival, and StAnza.
